Vocalist Marion Cowings, a master of scat and vocalese, has been thrilling audiences around the worldfor decades in performance, as well as in numerous commercials, voiceovers and jingles. Cowings, a protégé of the great Jon Hendricks, was also Dave Lambert’s original replacement in Lambert, Hendricks & Ross. He has appeared in several Off Broadway productions, as well as at the Blue Note, Village Vanguard and Lincoln Center. Some of his numerous jazz collaborators include Clark Terry, Jimmy Heath, Frank Foster, Gary Bartz, Bobby Watson, Ron Carter, and for over 30 years with his duo partner Kim Kalesti.
